River Camp

A private river camp on the bank of the Breede River offering facilities for camping and accommodation.

At the equipped HUTCAMP you can book one HUT or up to six HUTS for maximum 12 adults or 4 families of 4 each. THE CAMP EXCLUSIVE is ideal for groups of 10 or more camping guests.

Maximum 10 camping trailors or caravans allowed. Smaller sites available for smaller groups of up to 10 camping guests each. The HUTCAMP and THE CAMP EXCLUSIVE each has it’s own kitchen / lapa area with indoor braai.
The smaller camping sites each with it’s own veranda to sit under. Each site about 400 m² and fenced.

Situated on a a working farm we offer a relaxed close to nature experience with lots of fresh air and lots of fun at the campfire. The old trees provide ample shade in summer time. Kayaking on the river, photo or bird walks on the farm, hiking the Toktokkie trail up the koppie or biking and running in the area will keep you busy for a while.
For the fishermen, yes we have black bass and carp in the river ! A “jukskeibaan ” with river views offers hours of fun during the day as well as at night playing under the flood light.

A dishes service can be booked at the two group sites, but must be booked and paid before arrival please. To give you more time to have fun while you are here ! On Saturday morning at 08h00 you can do the Park Run at Weltevrede Wine Estate just outside Bonnievale and enjoy eats or coffee at Kapokbos afterwards, also on the Weltevrede Wine Estate.

Breede Escape offers a nature encounter, a place to rest and reset. We do not allow bachelor, nudist or youth groups. We have a strict no music policy. Although we are pet friendly by prior arrangement, unfortunately we do not allow Pitbulls or Pitbull cross breeds. When outside your private camp, please keep your dog leashed at all times.
